Heraclea is an early maincrop variety that is suitable for crisping. In trials the variety demonstrated resistance to dry rot (F. coeruleum), skin spot, silver scurf, black dot and splitting. The variety had susceptibility to PCN Pa2/3, tuber late blight an dry rot (F. sulphureum).
